I changed my email address and now my password doesn't work!
When you change your email address, your password is automatically changed and sent in an email to the new address. This happens for security reasons to ensure your email address is valid. Once you confirm your identity by logging in with the new password, you may change your password back to whatever you wish. If you don't receive the email right away, be patient. Sometimes emails are delayed for various reasons. If you feel you have waited too long, follow this link: I've lost my password! What do I do? to learn how to get your password re-sent to you.

How do I change my email address?
On the top of most pages there is a "profile" link. From there click "View/Update Profile" to bring you to where you can edit all aspects of your profile. Make your change and click the "Update Profile" button at the bottom and your email address will be changed. Please note: changing your email address will automatically change your password, send it in an email to the new address, and log you out. You will not be able to log back in until you receive this email with your new password. Please make sure you have access to the new email account before changing it! Please be careful not to make a mistake in typing in the new address! Any mistake will cause a delay before you can log back into Minas Tirith while the problem is corrected manually by Admin.

Does Minas Tirith use any cookies?
Yes. Cookies are used to store the last time you logged in, your login name and password, and your preferred "topic view", if you set it in preferences. These cookies are stored on your browser. Cookies are not used to perform any function other than to enhance your use of the forums. If your browser does not support cookies, or you have not enabled cookies on your browser, many of these time-saving features will not work properly.

How do I clear my Minas Tirith cookies?
Sometimes cookies get corrupted and cause problems until they are deleted. Other times, deleting your cookies is the only way to insure security of your login name. If you need to delete your Minas Tirith cookies for whatever reason, go to the top of almost any page and follow the "profile" link. From there click "Delete All Cookies Set by This Forum" near the top of the page.

What fonts do I need to best view Minas Tirith?
The font needed to view Minas Tirith properly is Verdana. If that font is not installed on your computer, it will attempt to use Ariel. If your system has neither of these fonts, it will use whatever you have set as default for your browser and most likely cause viewing errors. If you are missing either of these fonts, download them here: Verdana - Ariel - Stonehenge

At what screen resolution should Minas Tirith be viewed?
Minas Tirith is designed to be viewed at 1024 x 768. Anything larger will cause a few images to display improperly, but otherwise shouldn't cause noticeable problems. 800 x 600 should be considered the minimum resolution. Anything smaller will cause some rows of text to wrap awkwardly. Lastly, as a general rule, the more colors the better.
