Mahanaxar, that's what my son and I do too. And we have a lot more fun that way. (Even though he still wins far more often than I do . . .)

I love to play LOTR Risk. My uncle and I gain up against my sister, till she's hanging on by a limb. Then she quits. Finally it's up to my uncle and I to battle it out. []

Both LoTR and Risk are great, so the game should be good right?

WRONG!

Even though Risk is a very mind-challenging and fun game, LoTR Risk is expensive and is totally against the classic rules of the game(Risk). Only if you're a true hardcore Risk fan would I recommend this game

I would disagree with you there. Especialy as you can play LotR Risk with the ordinary rules, if you so choose.

I've been a Risk fan since uni days, and am also a great fan of the LOTR board games (I think we now have them all, but am not certain), and I really enjoy LOTR Risk. Yes, it's not the same as Risk, but it has its own charm, and as DQ says you can use the board to play original Risk if you want.

A very interesting game. I play it alot with my friends. (We play a different game every week at school during lunch) It is one of the best LotR board games I have ever played (which are not vast in number).

LotR Risk is a great game. Some of the rules are a little weird.....me and my friends play by regular Risk rules, and the travel thing....i usually end up being good (cause my favorite color is GREEN!) and therefore usually lose.....although I love the game, I'm not very skilled....

LOTR Risk is indeed a great game. We played it 'straight' the first few times, but now we adapt it to suit us. It's even more fun then, as you said.
