I would hazard a guess that the answer is MERRY IS MAY-TIME, however as there is only one "I" in your scramble, perhaps this is not the correct answer.

Ah. Perhaps there is a variant text which foreshadows Meriadoc Brandybuck's existance and reads Merry's May-time, which has ingrained itself upon my subconsciousness.

Or perhaps not.

Step up, Aerel.

Very good, Celebrían. Pity Bilbo and the Dwarves didn't take this advice. Your go []

Would the answer, perchance, be A HOBBIT'S HOLIDAY, written by the esteemed Mr. Bilbo Baggins, and known to be a thoroughly good read?

I once heard a hobbit tell their young son: S, NABBING IS GRIM EVIL!

I believe they were right, too.

Aerel, are you referring to that entertaining hobbit show, Mrs. Nibi Baggins, Live?
Person, place, thing, expression, (geneology, calendar, riddle)? any hints forthcoming?

Ah well, clue number one: It's a person.

Celebrían: I've never seen "Mrs. Nibi Baggins, Live", is it as good as they say?

Quick question on punctuation. Does the comma have to be in the answer?

Ah, good one Aerel, but not good enough. I do believe that Lugburz sprung this one on us once before. Quite awhile ago, true, but not quite too far for my memory. []

The answer, must be MR. INVISIBLE BAGGINS. Right?

So I'm assuming that this means commas, periods, etc. in the question aren't necessarily in the answer.

No need for apologies, Aerel. That particular scramble was in the previous thread, long before you arrived at our fair city. So there's no way you could've known.
I will say, however, that Mr. Invisible Baggins drove us all batty the first time, so it is an exceptionally good scramble... []
And now for mine:

Would you slap me if I conducted an EROTICA SURVEY in this forum?

And after finally finding a scramble not used before, at least not in this thread...
