Starting the sequel to the Ninja thread was a brilliant idea for a few months down the road from now, but it was just too far off.

I'd like to know if you think Ninjas are ruff, or if they could be tuffer.

BTW, do you know anything about Japanese history of, say, the last 400 years? Unless the answer is "no," I really can't figure out why you'd idolize ninjas so much.

P.S. Are you really this boring or do you think about ANYTHING else? I mean, it was kind of funny... a while ago... jest wonderin'...

No, I wasn't there during that period of time, but if you would like to enlighten me than it would clear up some nasty pimples of misunderstanding I might see on Ninjas of that time period.

Think of this as me hosting a show and you are a guest who knows a ton more than I do about a subject.

By the way, those [] signs are the easiest thing to post if you can't answer my question.

Well, basically I'm just referring to warrior classes in late feudal Japan (samurai, ninjas) devolving into a group of impotent figureheads, wacko political extremists and unemployed former dandies, splintered and humiliated by society's dwindling of need for them as Japan transitioned out of the Edo period. If you choose to look at the whole thing and not just an idolized, romanticized golden peak (mostly as retold by tantrum-throwing former warriors stamping their feet and groping wildly for lost political social/power during the Meiji era), it can be a pretty sad picture.

Also, the inherent past-worship of the samurai and ninja is pretty freaky... ti's kind of hard to explain that last part, but "modern" Japan seems always to have had problems with centralized leadership and the cult status of warrior classes is part of it... goes right along with the whole Emperor worship thing (people seem to think that's an ancient tradition, but it was really invented by the state less than 200 years ago!).

My guess is that you may enjoy anime?

Anyhow, the lack of historical knowledge is far less troubling than the beating of horses which are growing less and less funny... I just don't see the point of coming here and trying to sidetrack every conversation into ninjas. It's like you're the cat lady, only you're the ninja guy. []

Into the Meiji era, which was kind of a huge mess and would be difficult to classify as one thing or another (convenient labels like "capitalism" or "socialism" wouldn't be applicable).

Don't you ever get tired of using outdated slurs, such as:

"Good luck with your psychosis" and

"Seek professional help IMMEDIATELY!"

"Like, Oh my gosh, Oh......my gosh, like oh my gosh goshidy gosh gosh!"

"Are you on something? No really! Are you ON something? Are YOU on SOMETHING? You must be ON something!" -- how many different ways can we use the same stupid words?

Can you see this massive collection of cliquish crap infront of your face or are you farsighted?

If you think it's about cliques, you're a little off. Can you see the utterly tired, grating, repetetive, juvenile, misdirected and currently unfunny joke in front of your face?

Adios.

Wow, its amazing how people like you constantly set yourselves up for people like me to get the SLIGHTEST impression that your a snot.

Maybe its me just pointing out the obvious about the warped ego-class you seem to fill so well with your snobbery. In other words: if it isn't intellectual enough for you, you give it a stimatic label instead of going along with it and having fun.

What I can say for myself, however, was that I started a thread with no preconceived idea to come down on people who might post. Infact, I even asked about the 400 year history of Ninjas you refered to, wanting to know more. But you just couldn't help putting them down or basically labelling them as "clowns with weapons." Thanks for giving us a background of Ninjitsu's bad epoch of history, which I enjoyed up until you converted them into bottomfeeders. Just so you know, and can be aware of your surroundings a little better in the future, that kind of talk doesn't fit very well in a thread all about the unparrelled awesomeness of the Ninja.

Unlike what I first posted, your first post was to come in with guns blazing and ready for a fight, when all I wanted was some conversation.

If you don't share my love for the awesomeness of Ninjas I can understand that. But if all you want to do is pick a fight, your welcome to leave.

It seems pretty clear no one inteds to actually talk about ninjas in this thread, so I'm assuming this will end up spiraling down into yet another endless argument or stopping in its tracks very quickly. If you want to talk about Ninjas, Luke, why did you bring it to a website like MT rather than an anime message board? []

Clearly your right, no one can be as creative as I am with Ninjas so there's no use in wasting my time and energy discussing what no one but me has the ability to talk about in a creative way.

Vahndel thanks for not posting something like [] without using your understanding. Or multiple times as a first grader would in a sentence.

Edit: (quote) so I'm assuming this will end up spiraling down into yet another endless argument or stopping in its tracks very quickly (quote)

Its very easy to perpetuate this theory because people have been brainwashed into believing the above statement, thus causing them to act in a certain way. And that way is to treat this theory as Dogma, no matter what the quality of the thread is like, and stop posting in it.
You have just given me another example of this very thing, which validifies the fact that snobs run MT (and I don't mean WGW), because they write this "Thread Execution Clase" into every thread they disapprove of.

So because of this, just five minutes ago I decided to start the first Anti-Snobery thread ever in MT history. Come to think of it, that sounds like a good name for the thread itself. I expect alot of opposition on this front, but what outweighs that is my resolve to stimulate people to think about all the wide range of written abuses at this site without skimming over them as if they were'nt even there.

Let's just get this straight right from the beginning: I am in no way condoning the creation of hundreds of useless threads, but only listing my grievances against certain high-up individuals at MT who come in and destroy a thread that has a creative, singular topic.

You forgot:

Moving faster than you can blink
Chopping someone in half with your bare hand
And cocooning enemies in their own hair

But those that you mentioned were also good skills--for beginners.

In all fairness, you asked if we thought they were ruff or could be tuffer. Guess I'm just in the latter camp. [] At least I'm on topic instead of spamming other threads. ( [] )

And if you were into the information at all, responding with nonsense is a funny way to say it. Guess that's the point where it made sense to forget about having a conversation. Anyhow, check your PM box.

Like we all do, myself included.

I consider everything not about Ninjas in my Ninja thread Spam.

I woudn't make much of this if it didn't happen in every single thread I make. []
