Going once, going twice, going thrice... sold! for $65 to the chess-playing Morgoth's Ring expert.
Thank you very much for participating, everyone!
And congratulations to Tuor who will soon be in the possession of The Children of Hurin. He can feel satisfied that 100% of his winning bid is going to help in the costs of MT.

Is that because you've filled it up with sock puppets?
Congratulations! Enjoy your book! I suppose I might choose the Norwegian translation anyway, which was published as the same time as the English original.

I plan on enjoying my book. After reading some of it, I hope to have something new to discuss. That would be nice.
WGW,
No problem. I've been around here long enough. I figure it was about time to throw in a couple of dollars to the cause.

I guess you could be interested about the way Tolkien treats fate / doom / malediction in CoH. This is clearer than in UT and Chapter XXI of the Silmarillion. Enjoy

I got it today. I am really impressed with the art. Just from what I've read so far, it seems much easier to read than the Silmarillion.
