There's also an ice bucket, in case it's too hot for someone somewhere and s/he wants iced tea or... cold chocolate. Though most people don't put ice in milk-based beverages. Except of course my own oldest brother, the one who looks rather muchly like Thingol the Sindar .

It's supposed to get up to 85F here today, but it won't if these clouds don't burn off.
Does your FireyHeart not keep you warm enough on its own?
My feet are usually cold, too, even when it is over eightyF outside.

Maybe I should move to Aussie land for my summers here in the PNW. I hate the heat. Where is that Slurpee maker?

I'm off, probably for a few days - don't know what kind of web access I'll have. But if I get half a chance, I'll look in (especially in the Green Dragon)

Oh, and I won't be checking in for a few days because my home computer's decided not to boot up for me. Hopefully I'll find somebody to fix it on Friday.

I'm having to do all my internet stuff at work now. Thankfully, my team leader doesn't seem to care how much time I spend on the 'net, just as long as I'm doing my work. I'm on my break right now anyway.
I found out the problem has to do with the CMOS battery. Something I'd never heard of before today. It's supposed to run down after 10 years, but apparently I've used my computer so much it's run down after six. Hopefully I'll find a reasonably nice computer repair person who deals with CMOS problems.

You'll most likely need a new CMOS battery - and then there are thing that will reset themselves because the CMOS battery isn't keeping their values up-to-date any more, and which you'll have to set back to their right value - for instance the calendar, I seem to remember ...

Repair person getting contacted tomorrow... My Muse has been very sad this week.
Also...
Anybody heard from Sherl? I haven't been able to chat with her since last Friday, and there was that disaster in Sao Paulo on Tuesday... She hasn't read my most recent PM yet, and I haven't seen her elsewhere on the net.

I haven't been online since Monday, and I haven't been on MSN for much longer than that - and I haven't followed the news either, so I didn't know about the Sao Paulo incident until now
I hope nothing's wrong, but it does make one worried

What Brae said... Only I'm not supposed to. I think it might be okay when I'm on a scheduled break, but maybe my employers would say otherwise.
