You might have checked and saw the message stating the board is down. It's still there if you go to http://www.minastirith.com/ and click the symbol at the top. From there you can click the link to the forums on the top right.
We had 15 cm of snow here in Paris a few days ago, which is quite unusual (happens every 5-10 years). It looked lovely And then I slipped on the sidewalk and almost fell. Three times.
