Yes, boytoy would hopefully come with me. I think he still thinks it's weird, but if it's a group of us he wouldn't mind as much. Plus, he knows I've met up with Ney and Keo before so if they are there it would ease his mind a little bit. I'm not sure if he'd want to go. I think it's too early to ask him now too. [] He'd be like, "What? April? That's too far in advance!"

Hey you guys, I know I actually said not to post for some time to take care of my thesis, but seeing how I can't sleep and am in need of a bit of advise, I'll do it anyway.

In the shortest terms possible, I'm facing a rather mundane problem, that I need some input on none the less. Suffice to say that my girlfriend (who I did not mention here, I know - I'm not very vocal about these things without need) and I decided to call it quits - not because we don't love each other (God knows I do), but well, because she plans to go abroad for a long time (2+ years), and feels that I cannot accommodate our relationship in the stressful and tightly structured years that lie ahead of me. What she needs is at once the freedom to travel and live la vie bohème, and a steady and firm basis for our relationship. Which doesn't work together. I understand her well, as much as it pains me to admit it.

What I need is some advise on how to mend the empty spot that's left, and to not drown in a lake of self-pity and despair. I know that heartache lies ahead of me, as the realization took some hours to kick in - all of which I accept gladly in return for what are the brightest days I have lived in my life.
At the same time, I have my Master thesis to take care of, and right now I just don't see it. I need to get a grip. And I wonder if you may have some things to share from your own experience. Via PM or Email, or if you like, right here. I would greatly appreciate that.

Bele [] - I don't have any personal experience on the subject, but I have an important number of friends who have been - or who currently are - in the same situation as you. So I hope I can still be of help. If you wish to discuss about it via PM or e-mail, please send me one. I am available now for a little while []

THANK YOU ! I have been trying to have people understand that for ages.
When you mourn over a relationship this way, it may be hard, but it also means that you have lived something wonderful [] Which is better than living nothing at all, like me [] []

Thank you, Inc' [] That's very nice of you. I will probably be able to compose a coherent message this weekend, but not tonight/this morning.

Indeed - I'm very sad, evidently, but that's because I let myself be taken in by this love. And I don't regret that for one second. I'm sad, and I'm happy to be able to be so sad at the same time.

Oh, and I'm sure you will live great times more than most of us - because that's what happens to French people that reach your level of awesome. []

From experience, Bele, I can tell you that the only way to get through it is time. It'll be empty for a while, but eventually you'll find new things (or someone else) to fill the void.

Just don't do what I did - get hurt so badly that you closed up and have problem having any sort of meaningful relationship. [] Learn from my mistakes. [] []

If you want to talk, just PM or e-mail me. I'll be online for a while.

Thank you, Amá. [] I appreciate that very much. As with Inc', I may take you up on your offer in the days to come.

What I will do right now is to get to some sleep for the rest of the night. Luckily its winter, otherwise the sun would be peeking through my window right now.

Herr Gurth, three words sir: beer, drugs and porn!** []

** [] Disclaimer []

By no means am I advocating you do these things from any kind of personal experience; my mate Dave told me about how effective this combination is! []
As is well known too much beer can make one suufer from what is commonly known as 'Brewers Droop'; howerver this only ever seems to happen to me the following morning after I've sobered up and found out I hadn't actually scored a home run with a Kirsten Dunst lookalike but with someone that looked like Miss Piggy instead! []
Overdoing the drugs just leaves one poor and in the gutter; but hell, you sure have a blast getting there! []
And as we all know too much porn makes one blind [] Which reminds me, where the feck did I put my inch thick spectacles, I have developed extreme myopia in the last month or two! []

It's certainly nice to know that there is one constant element in my life: whenever things go bad, trust Mr Wang to come along and make it a lot worse. []

[]

Nah, drugs and beer are not an option for me. Remember, I have to finish my thesis, and besides, I was never a big fan of either. As for porn, well, that would probably make me feel very sad right now without beer and drugs. Now that's what I call a vicious circle! []

Thanks for cheering me up though. []

Poor Bellygurth! []

Unfortunately... none of us will be able to give you any real concrete help in this matter. It is a mourning process and, as we all know, everyone mourns differently.

I would suggest talking to friends... it tends to lighten the heart. And stay away from the booze! []

In other news... as I've mentioned before... my cousin has been doing a genealogy chart of my grandmother's family: the Fitz-Randolphs. Besides being Charlemagne's 35 X great-grandson(twice!), we've also found out that we are Barack Obama's 10th cousins. [] This means I will be invited to the inauguration, no? [] My cousin sent me the whole family tree... you can actually trace back, person for person, 1400 years.

My heart goes out to you, Belly []

Different people are different and different relationships are...different, but what made me feel better was doing things I enjoyed (guitar) as well as trying new things (none of them took, but it occupied my mind)...But what helped the most was spending time with my friends and family...Break the time into pieces and get through them with as much joy as you can find. It does become easier.

Yes, you should totally be invited to the big ceremony, Thingy. Anything less would just prove that the new president is rude as well as naive and kind of shifty []

----
I went to a concert and actually made friends [] Sure they were a little drunk, but so what? [] I didn't drink at all cause I didn't know what to order or how [] I need a big sister to teach me these things.

----
In other news, I simply must own one of these.
And maybe one of these....and one of these....but not this.

Well, only one of them is old enough (I always make friends with people who are younger than me! Not on purpose, it just happens!). They did reccomend a drink with a name that I don't know if I can repeat here [] But this was after the show when the bar had closed []

Eh, it's not that scandalous...But my dad was sitting next to me and might have looked up at any time [] It's just called a red-headed slut. I'm assuming the word is OK if it is in the context of a title?
