The 13th Beast . Threadmaster: Gollum the Great Description from Gollum the Great: In ages past, before the time of man, there dwelt in the imagination 13 beasts. However they were without conscience and fought among each other, resulting in the death of two. So it was that a 13th beats was born, and he was named Luak. Teaching the others all he knew and spreading his wisdom to their minds, they were able to percieve that no threat was to be found in each other, but in the newly awakened race of man. For centuries they fought against them, until, when all hope for man was thought lost, 13 beings were born from the blood of each beast. The leader was Nurissel, and she was the composite of Luak. In a great battle that followed, Nurissel defeated Luak by means of an amulet placed upon his shoulders, so he was banished to the nameless lands for all time. The other beasts, with no leader, forgot all they were taught, and wanderred aimlessly. Their purpose fulfilled, the beings died, all but Nurissel, for Luak was not dead and still posed a potential threat. So she bonded herself to the amulet, becoming one until Eldatur, an Elf. came into possesion of it. He wore it when he lay with his wife, Eruannë. From their coupling a child was born, named Huornis, though in truth she was Nurissel re-born. Born onto the earth for one purpose, Huornis must travel to the nameless lands and place the amulet once more on Luak's head. Only then would the world be safe from his evil...
Days of Venery. Threadmaster: Dianthelle Queen of Spies Culnimphel's husband and children were killed years ago by the Sereg-naurim assassins. Ten years later, Culnimphel is a lonely, wandering magess, half-heartedly searching for the Sereg-naurim to hunt them down. They attack an inn one night while she is there, and now she has joined with other companions, hoping to hunt them down. -More characters are more than welcome, especially those that wish to play as a Sereg-naurim.
Death: The Grand Adventure. Threadmaster: Braeden Fireheart Description taken from the Word Aside: A spoof RPT. The purpose is to have fun. Generally speaking, the characters are evil and deadish. Good characters are given a rough time, and Elves are not permitted, or, at least, strongly not condoned, if you catch my meaning. Actively looking for new participants.
Differences. Threadmasters: Ith the Saucy Brunette, Killerkassandra, and Lestat's Only Vamp (eod) Description by Killerkassandra. This is an RP about three sorceresses, who are as different as humanly possible, and are coincidentally triplets. They get a group of friends together to raid an orc-camp outside their town. They split into three groups and attacked the orcs, but, since they don't have a set time in Middle Earth, each group thinks that because the other two groups aren't at the designated meeting area, they must have been taken prisoners by the surviving orcs. Now the groups have to find each other, but one sister's group dosen't want to be found... Actively looking for participants!
Elessar's Christmas Party. Threadmaster: Elessar Description taken from my knowledge of the RPT: This is an RP style, sort of inn like Christmas Party. It takes place in Elessar's large house in a village in Ithilien. It is not invitation based, but before taking part in the party, you must ask and receive permission from Elessar. For a time all went well. There were several guests making merry in Elessar's house, some of them going so far as to bake treats in the kitchen despite Elessar's wishes. There was even some beneath-mistletoe action. Mandin - played by Mandin - left the party after a while and met up with a couple of his companions - ArchAngel and Coriath being among these - so that they could head off a group of orcs that wanted to get to Elessar's party for some diabolical reason. At the moment, we are in the process of fighting them off. Anybody that joins now, would enter the chaos, but shortly, the party will be back to normal, and newcomers can ask permission to participate. Elessar is pretty lenient.
The End. Threadmaster: Anoren the Elf Description taken from Word Aside: Lothlorien is slowly dying. It has been a long time since Galadriel departed for the Undying Lands, and the elves are diminishing. Evil men, and stray orcs invade the land looking for loot and trouble. Currently has no one joined, looking for members. [More information when available]
The Fate of the World. Threadmaster: KillerKassandra Description from the Threadmaster. This story is about a little girl in a country that has been at war for longer than anyone can remember. The king is a tyrant in matriarchal socity, and isnot doing a good job of ruling over his country. It is utter chaos. Just when things seem the darkest, a young girl is exiled from (and nearly killed by) her village. she runs away into the forest where she searches for a way to survive and control her uncontrollable magic powers. This is heavily edited, and more details can be found in Word Aside.
Foreigner. Threadmaster: Mahanaxar the Spoony Bard Description by Mahanaxar the Spoony Bard: An Easterling survivor of the battle of Pelennor Fields from the kingdom of Rhûn named Kâva wakes up to find death all around him. Honoring the dying wishes of a close friend, he vows to return home to take care of his friend's family, but he is badly wounded and pained with hunger and thirst. He slowly makes his way to a small cottage in the distance and collapses at its back door upon meeting the woman who lives there. He finds himself bound at the wrists but taken care of by this stranger with a language barrier and misconceptions among other things standing between them. This RP will cease activity until after August due to Anoren's absence.
The Green Dragon Threadmaster: Mandin Mogdor Ogglefrock, the Green Dragon of yore whose dragonish appearance inspired the building of the Green Dragon in Hobbiton, has descended from the clouds and cold winds of the air to his namesake for a nonsensical adventure among the hobbits and various other strange visitors of the Shire, among which are the legendary ArchAngel and a tall, thin man all wrapped up in a black cloak. Please join the RP for fun and nonsense.
Hiding from the Light. Threadmaster: The Swordmaster Description by The Swordmaster: The story is set on a world called Alvannia. Long ago, the three gods of the world, one male and two female, fought a battle against one another to gain control of the world and its peoples. The battle destroyed much of the world and eventually the gods agreed that it would be best to leave it alone and let the people of Alvannia live in peace. So began the Age of Mortals. A few thousand years into this age, one of the goddesses returned, The Goddess of the Dark, and she brings with her an army of the dead to force all the peoples of the world to worship her. Yet there are those that still believe in the old ways, in the ways of magic, and they still believe in the other gods, the Goddess of the Light, and the God of Wisdom. It is those that still believe that must fight against the Dark Goddess and bring back the light into a world now filled with evil. More RPers are welcome.
Infinite Horizon Threadmaster: Jango Fett In the fifty-years following the destruction of Sauron, the remnant of Orcs fought for their survival and were ultimately pushed back to their last haven in Umbar. The Gondorian military has but one final siege to conduct before the resistance is brought to its knees. An old Uruk sea captain — too proud to let his people die like pigs — now plans to mobilize the remaining population of Orcs for an exodus and set sail for a rumoured and mythical new land beyond the horizon. The enemies of the fleet of five ships come in all shapes and sizes, from the pursuing Gondorians to nature to racism which gnaws at the relationship of Orcs and Haradrim. Participants needed!
A Journey to Shion. Threadmaster: Estella Brandybuck Description taken from Word Aside: This RPT recounts the journey of adventurers to the far off land of Shion in search of treasures with which the city abounds. The adventurers travel, loot, and kill anything that get's in their way. Quite an exciting, violent group. A good action RP, and they're looking for more characters to join.
LOTR an Alternate Universe: Fellowship of the Ring. Threadmaster: Elessar Description taken from the Word Aside: This is to be a 3 part RP, one for each separate volume of the Lord of the Rings. This first one is to be the Fellowship of the Ring. People are needed to play the important characters; they will be able to make independant decisions, but the book will be followed in imporant matters; in other words, Frodo volunteers to take the Ring. This should be a serious RP, and always remember to play the character as if you were them! More characters are needed. Elessar wants Aragorn. If Elessar doesn't like you as an RPer, be warned, he may refuse your requests.
Nothing Gold Can Stay. Threadmaster: Justin Warrick Description by Mandin Currently as Word Aside only...RP to come. Dînnen sat silently on the hilltop overlooking Tûna, watching as the silver light waned and the golden light waxed, bringing with it the sound of birds and the break of morning. He had come here often of late, seeking solace from the pressures of life below, hoping here to find a perspective on life, a freedom from the noise and anger of his kinsmen… This Role Play is “A People’s History of the Flight of the Noldor.” During the First Age, when the Two Trees of Valinor were destroyed and the Noldor fled to Middle-earth, there were not only elf princes and princesses and mighty warriors working great deeds. This RP focuses on those others, the average, everyday elven citizens. This is a literary RP, not a “let’s see who can kill the most orcs” RP. Knowledge of The Silmarillion required. No hobbits, dwarves, Sindar, etc. Current RP members: Justin Warrick…looking for members. Post bios to the… Word Aside Updated: 22 April 2004
Outcast: A Soldier's Journey. Threadmaster: Níracas the Soldier. Níracas has been kicked out of the Gondorian army for causing the death of an officer. Now a social outcast, he has wandered morosely through Middle-earth, eventually arriving at an inn in Bree. There he meets other outcasts, including an elven maiden, a reject of her own accord. They decide to band together and journey on a quest, that has not yet been precisely determined, that they hope will double as a quest to prove their value to society, and take them from their rejected situation. WANTED: RPers wishing to play Hobbit characters.
Overly-Ornate Scabbard QuestThreadmaster: The Laurenendôrian Description by Aranel Chris As evidenced in the title, this is a somewhat less than serious RP. The character Bobus is charged by the narrator to find the overly-ornate scabbard, which Bobus has conveniently tossed into the sea from his glass boat. Currently the singularly unusual set of characters are trying to find their way out of ‘character space’, and the narrator is more than annoyed about how uncooperative the plot and characters seem to be. Written in a mishmash of styles reminiscent of Monty Python, Douglas Adams, and Terry Prachett. Current RP members: ArchAngel, Butterbur, Earendilyon, Gandalf the White, The Gentleman, Mandin, Meneldil, Otaku Open to all participants of the original, and others by request. Word Aside
Pilgrimage to Zanarkand. Threadmaster: Dianthelle Queen of Spies Description by threadmaster: This RP is not set in Middle-Earth. It is a Summoner's journey to Zanarkanda in a quest to defeat Sin and bring the 10-year Calm once again. Magor plot wists are welcome! This could be BETTER than Final Fantasy X The RP takes place in Spira, another Summoner's journey before Yuna's. People who have played Final Fantasy X are especially welcome to play in this RPG Characters are needed!
Quest into the Shadowmountains Threadmaster: Mym Description by Aranel Chris This RP takes place in Middle-Earth after the War of the Ring. The story starts with the elf Rhania Starheld in search of her brother, Dimithil Starheld, who has disappeared on a trip to the Grey Mountains. After a near-death fight with a warg, Rhania loses direction and accidentally travels into Mirkwood. While there, she meets new companions, and others join her as she makes her way through the forest. Assassins, spiders, and unseen menaces continue to threaten Rhania and her companions as they continue their quest to find her brother. Current RP members: Nerivarya, Lady Pherloteiel, Rómenya, Elentari The Mystical, Nehraime Participants wanted as human or elven characters. Word Aside
Return from Dol Guldor. Threadmaster: Aduyulda Description by Aduyulda: This RP is set around when the events of The Hobbit take place. In Dol Guldur, Sauron’s fortress deep in the forest of Mirkwood, the Necromancer has captured and enslaved many Elves, Men, Dwarves, and even a few Hobbits. Now, a few of them have finally escaped the horrors of their prison and are journeying together in an attempt to escape the entanglements of Mirkwood…to reach home. This is not a simple hack and slash RP, instead good plot development and interaction is desired to go along with battles and action. Currents RP ers: Adulyulda, Robin Baggins, Kel’anth Niun, Cernunnos, and Azure Anchors of Arlia. More participants are welcome.
Rising Shadow. Threadmaster: Ardil the Traveller Description from the Threadmaster: Great evil has beset the lands before, but has been defeated. Now, it's rising again. So far, at least in this country, no effects have really been felt, beyond an unusually long and hot summer that most, if not all, blame on simple changes in the weather patterns. Only three people know the full truth of it: the Shadowcat, an excellent and infamous thief, in the capital city of Cer'Ibhian; Mathan, a survivor of the disaster that befell Castle Elayde three years ago, where he was once the captain of the guard; and Ricoyan, an Envildan, wandering minstrel, who sought out Mathan to learn his tale. They, and whatever companions they might gather whilst in Cer'Ibhian, are the ones who must set out to defeat an evil so great, there must surely be no hope for them - for none of them is a great hero, as of legend... Although Rising Shadow is no longer looking for new players, one or two well thought out characters may be accepted. See the Word Aside for rules and questions.
Road to Rivendell. Threadmaster: Barufiniel Description by Barufiniel: The aim of this RP is to explore how Barufiniel finds her way from Rohan to Rivendell and how she is received there. She starts by finding some companions for her journey, many of them having fled from the war in Rohan. The journey starts in the Third Age year 2758. Rohan is invaded both from the east and west. The land "was overrun; and those who were not slain or enslaved fled to the dales of the mountains." It is the beginning of the Long Winter. There is "great suffering and loss of life in Eriador and Rohan. Gandalf comes to the aid of the Shire-folk." Barufiniel’s company should eventually meet Gandalf and join him on his mission before their eventual arrival in Rivendell. Current RPers: Barufiniel, Roccowen Eilonwyiel, Eöl, Rómenya, Elyrka Redsmith, Éomer, Andreth, Rúnya Naira, and Aduyulda. Orofacion of the Vanyar, Robbin Baggins, and Mahanaxar the Spoony Bard plan to join later. At the moment the company is large enough, but one or two well thought out characters may be accepted. Cameo roles welcome. Only Middle-earth races, accepted. As we get closer to the Shire, we will need hobbits, and when we get to Rivendell, we will need Elrond and other Elves (perhaps Glorfindel). The focus of the RP is not on fighting, although sometimes the company will need to defend itself. This RP is a literary RP with a great deal of emphasis on Tolkien’s works. Word Aside
The Roots of Greenwood. Threadmasters: Arianna and Finrod Description from the Word Aside: After the Last Alliance, men and elves returned home to what was left of their lives, and attempted to rebuild their world. This Role Play takes place immediately after the Last Alliance, in the forest then known as Greenwood the Great, the kingdom of King Thranduil. It is to be a story of new beginnings, of rebuilding and forging a new life out of the ashes of the past. Actual Tolkien facts for this Role Play will come from the version documented in The Unfinished Tales, in which Thranduil does not become King of the Elves of Mirkwood until his father Oropher is slain in the Battle of the Last Alliance. In this account, Thranduil returns to Mirkwood, as king, with barely a third of the great force he took with him. The plot of this Role Play is intentionally loose, to allow people to create subplots and tinker with their characters. If we find that this isn't working, the threadmasters will come up with a more direct storyline. This RP is no longer openly accepting new characters, but the threadmasters are still accepting applications for characteres if people have new ideas. Current Role Players: Finrod, Arianna, Evenstarofdawn, Anoren the Elf, Pesky Bat Girl, Swift Asfaloth, Lilianna, and: Waiting to hear from new characters!

The prince's constant companion is the Rider of Rivendale. Sir Thomas's father is the king of a country by the Nurnen Sea. Saruman with a legion of Orcs makes an attack causing a diversion for the king's forces. In the meantime, Saruman has the princess kidnaped. The princess must be rescued by Sir Thomas, the Rider of Rivendale and other companions as they not only seek to save the princess, but discover the deeper reasons behind her capture.
The Search for the Light of Mordor. Threadmaster: Radagast the Istari Radagast, brave warrior and servant of the Valar, he has been sent to Middle-earth to destroy evil permanently. With an army he has gathered for himself, he has marched into Mordor, battling to destroy all traces of evil within that mountain protected kingdom of evil and darkness.
The Search for the Stone. Threadmaster: The Swordmaster Description from the Word Aside: The setting is a world a bit like Middle-earth, that is populated by Elves, Men and Dwarves. The basic plot is that an ancient prophecy has come to light that tells of a stone that holds great power that can be used for good or evil. However, the evil forces in the world have known of the stone for some time and have been searching for it. A young wizard's apprentice uncovers the prophecy but few believe her when she tells them of this stone. So she sets off alone in search of the stone, simply hoping that she meets some people that can help her. She carries a sword although she doesn't know how to use it. She has some powers but was only in training when she left her master. Various other adventurers, warrior types and such, join her in her quest as they search out the magical stone.
Seeds of Evil. Threadmaster: Jango Fett Description from the Word Aside Although this is a non-Tolkien RP, it is based on fantasy in a fantasy world. When a child is born the great spirits plant in it, whether male or female, two seeds: one good and one bad. As the child goes through life, it’s deeds feed and nourish the two seeds. If you murder someone, for instance, the seed of evil with grow greatly. If you save someone’s life, in contrast, the seed of goodness will thrive. Only one seed may function at a time, however, and as one grows it will also feed off the other, eventually killing it. Out of these seeds will grow a spirit life-form; a good seed will create a Provonyare and an evil will create a Convonyare. When the Vonyare comes to full growth and maturity it will transfer your soul to it, and burst out of your body. You will then be among the most powerful creatures to roam the earth, a supernatural being with extraordinary powers (which resembles some sort of animal hybrid). For more information, see the Word Aside.
Seven SavioursThreadmaster: Jango Fett Description by Threadmaster A small, secluded village of Stoors has been pillaged and preyed upon right just following their harvest season by bandits for several years. In despair, the townsfolk consulted their elders on the subject and were directed to hire mercenaries. The townsfolk were wary at First, knowing that neighboring villages had been robbed by mercenaries in the past, and they feared that no warrior would fight for what little they had to offer. Nevertheless, they determined to follow their counsel’s advice, and they must travel to the city Osgiliath to hire their Saviours to defend the hopeless village. Current RP members: Jango Fett, Elessar, Roccowen Eilonwyiel, Sepiroth Strife, Jóhnny the Jester and Harlow MORE CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME Word Aside
Spirit of Fire. Threadmaster: Finrod Felagund Description from the Word Aside. Heavily edited. This RP mostly concerns the house of Finwë as it dwells in Aman under the light of the two trees. Finwë has remarried Indis, and at the start of the RP, Fëanor is about eighty, and Fingolfin is about forty. No Men, Dwarves, Half-elven or orcs will be permitted, as the RP lies in Aman, probably prior even to the awakening of men. Elves, Valar and Maiar are probably the only races that will be allowed. Of the elves, only Noldor, Vanyar and the Teleri of Olwë as the Sindar and Avari dwell not in Aman. Specific Tolkien characters still needed are Finwë, Anairë, and Earwen. More characters of the house of Fingolfin, Finarfin, and the sons of Fëanor will be needed later as the story progresses. A knowledge of the Silmarillion is preferred, but feel free to join in anyway. Please: Experienced RP'ers only!
The Stage Coach. Threadmaster: Lugbúrz Description by Lugbúrz, who was apparently not happy with the one I already had provided. A legendary wonder, the Stage Coach is a carriage that came to Middle-earth from the West, before the world was changed forever. Given to a suicidal hobbit by a mysterious stranger, it becomes part of a theater production based in Dwaling (of the Shire), near the Brandywine river. Soon, the hobbit, Hidden Smygrave that is, discovers the wondrous world the Coach can transport one into. To save the company from bankruptcy at times when drama is no longer a talent appreciated by many, he sets out to the Green Dragon to recruit some enterprising people. With a fine troupe, the Coach sets off for the riverside fair in Buckland, and has now found a home near the Brandywine bridge at the northern border of Buckland, just off the Great East Road. Auditions are welcome for acting positions. Tired travellers are welcome to stay for any length of time they may desire. It is a place to rest your muscles and refresh yourself in the wonders of the Coach, or even better, walk up right onto the Stage. Lugbúrz invites all enterprising hands to use their pens in the Stage Coach. There is no word aside thread and no OOC comments are permitted*. *Editor's footnote: hurrah to that!

A Tale of Two Cities. Threadmaster: Elessar Description by Threadmaster Three years before the War of the Ring, two great cities in southern Harad are, engaged in a bitter war, and have been for over twenty years. The two cities, Bajan and Mosaq, have recently entered into an unofficial cease-fire. Unknown to each-other, the two cities have sent out scouts to find mighty warriors to fight for them. Soon the countryside around Bajan and Mosaq will be in flames, and blood will flow freely. This RP is not completely about destruction and chaos; there will also be character and plot development during, before, and after battles. Current RP members: Elessar, Jango Fett, Sepriroth Strife, Elros, Indil, and Elrond. We are always ready for more people to join. Word Aside
The Theft of Umbar. Threadmaster: Orofacion of the Vanyar. Description from Orofacion of the Vanyar: In the year 2885 of the Third Age, the lost palantir of Osgiliath was found, by the Corsairs of Umbar. Elrond has sent out 6 companions to either retrieve, or destroy the palantir, which is actively being used by the Corsairs to communicate with Sauron. The Steward of Gondor, Turin II is battling the south, which has been stirred by the dark force that is growing in Mordor. Of the 6, 3 remain with 3 newer companions. The initial group included: Haidan of Imladris(the leader), Gandalf the Grey, Bethberry daughter of Goldberry, Adanedhel the Black Warrior, Madmartigan the mysterious man, and Aglod the elven mariner. Haidan fell in battle, Gandalf was called away, and Bethberry suffered a memory loss in a storm on the ocean and returned to the Old Forest. Now the company now includes: Arcon of Mithlond(Haidan's half-brother who has taken up the leadership role), Adanedhel, Aglod, Madmartigan, Kailash of the northern clan called the Renshai, Kharnun the Marchwarden of Shazur-dum, and the mysterious newcomer Valkyr from Khand. As of now the company is a weeks sail from Gondor minus Adanedhel who is travelling on foot (or horse I should say). We are looking for some cameo roles for when we get to Gondor, and possibly a permanent character. This is a serious RP with extreme detail to Tolkien's works. If you are interested at all, PM Orofacion of the Vanyar and he will contact you as soon as possible.
The Towers of Nim. Threadmaster: Mandin Description take from my own knowledge of the RP: The White Empire has been invaded by the neihbouring empire's army, the Black Horde. They destroyed the Towers of Nim, massive white towers set to protect the empire from invading. Allyndaar (Mandin) is the captain of one destroyed tower, at the start, he gathered together his surviving soldiers, and set about to pursue the enemy. Eventually, he was joined by the warriors of a place called Mossvale, and some men from the emperor under Tunar (Adanedhel). They are on a quest to find the legendary warriors of the ancient and disappeared kingdom of Rolaria, who will hopefully aid them in a battle against the Black Horde and drive them from the empire. Not really looking for newcomers, but someone with a good knowledge of the RP could join in, and perhaps breath some life back into it.
The Trail of the Adamant Adamant. Threadmaster: Lugbúrz Description from Lugbúrz Lugbúrz and his friends invite you to a world where the grass is still green and the only noise that disturbs the peace is that of two proudly humble dwarves. Gerontius Took inherited a pair of diamond studs from Gandalf and happened to lose one of them a few years later. Gandalf, in his humbled circumstances, decides to lead a small group of hobbits to find the missing stud. Even he is about to discover that this adventure is a little more than precious pots, speaking cats, hallucinating dwarves, cacophonic elves and bungling hobbits. You are invited as a reader and critic to enjoy this composition of interactive prose and poetry, set to the tunes of The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien.
Unrest in the Riddermark. Threadmaster: Finrod Felagund Description from Word Aside. Setting: The Riddermark, a few years after the end of the War of the Ring. Lothíriel sat in her bedroom, staring out the small window at the thatched roofs of the huts below her. She felt a small movement in her stomach, and put her hand gently over it, desperately wanting to feel happy at the thought, but unable to force the joy. She had lived here in Edoras for nearly a year now, since her father had brought here here from Dol Amroth to wed the king of Rohan. She had been but seventeen then, and the idea of being a queen of any kingdom was a brighter and more beautiful idea than any she could imagine. She had been raised in Gondor, and the culture and society she had been raised to expect was completely absent here in Edoras. Instead of stone houses with glass windows, she was forced to accept small square windows in the buildings, with screens through which the many insects which prospered on the plains could easily squeeze. The stone walkways of her home had been replaced with dirty paths, which turned to mud whenever it rained, and she found herself turning away from her delicate shoes to thick boots whenever she ventured outside. The smell of horses was everywhere, and one had to be careful not to step in their waste - something that thoroughly disgusted Lothíriel, who so far had refused even lessons from Éomer on how to ride. Those soldiers most loyal to Éomer slept in a common room, where during the day they ate, bundled up in a noisy, snoring mess on the floor before the fire. She had not yet mastered the complexities of the language or the culture, and she usually stayed quiet while at dinner, out of fear of saying the wrong thing. While she had grown to love Éomer, and found him a gentle, kind, and loving man despite his gruff outward appearance, her life was unsatisfying. She yearned for more, for an adventure to pull her out of the duldrums she found herself sinking into. Little did she know that an adventure was about to begin that would be a culmination of her greatest fears...
The Way We Were. Threadmaster: Turambar Description from Turambar: Turambar came to Middle-Earth, seeking to outrun a doom (further revelations of this doom come out in the RP and WA) that is chasing him through his life. Eventually, he determines to turn and face the pursuing doom. To do this, he sets out on a journey accompanied by other creatures in search of their destinies. So far, Turambar and his company have been traveling toward Bar-en-Danwedh, but had to travel first through Roham. There they were captured by Eomer who decided he would take them to Edoras before king Theoden to get permission to cross the king's land. Lady Perloteiel, Celtic Myst, and Niere have left the company, though, and are currently on another plane of existence, trying to figure out what to do about the murdered committed against Legendary beings of Middle-Earth. Eomer is not quite sure what to think about the magic used to transport them, but he seems glad the Legendary beings are gone. Turambar and Eomer are currently struggling mentally to determine wh is stronger. They are irritating each other to the breaking-point. Although Eomer is the current leader (he has a pack of Rohirrim with him, which makes him stronger than the company), Turambar keeps undermining his superiority.
The Wonders of Youth. Threadmaster: Arianna Description from Anoren the Elf: Oriatuo, a 13 year old child, living without any knowledge of her parents, in Mirkwood with the elves. She has found an evil book made by her father who is trying to find it. Oriatuo with companions is on a quest to keep it away from him.
Zâira Nênud. Threadmaster: Braeden Fireheart Description by the Threadmaster: In the Second Age, after the death of Tar-Aldarion, a group of men and women set out from Númenor to Middle-earth. The Queen Ancalimë has publicly refused to send aid to Gil-galad and the inhabitants of the Great Lands, even though they are inundated by an unknown shadow in the southeast. This role-play starts off in Númenor, during the Erukyermë (Spring Feast) of 1105SA. The group meets and soon plans to sail away from the sacred land of gift, to the regions of Endor, without the approval of Tar-Ancalimë. So small a team could not possibly aid the elves of Lindon as well as a large army of Númenoreans, yet each individual believes they cannot just stand by and do nothing. This is a literary RP. The threadmaster expects all players to have read/be reading the relevant Second Age information/stories before joining. Current RP members: Braeden Fireheart, Aikanáro, Andreth, Éomer, Gna, and Lady Sandrilene of Ruatha. This RP does not need any more characters until the group is near reaching Middle-earth. We will need both elves and humans, and possibly some dwarves. Word Aside
Mandin - Roots of Greenwood is no longer openly accepting new characters, but we are still "accepting applications" for characters if people have new ideas.

I have been really busy lately, and thus this thread has not progressed at all. I do intend to eventually catch up with all the RPs, and then it will be easy to keep up with all the new ones. I would greatly appreciate it if people could help me out. If you're a threadmaster, chances are you have an intimate knowledge of your thread, so send me a description. Added things that are good are the names of the people RPing, as well as whether or not you want more people.

Unrest in the Riddermark From the word aside, edit as you will.
SPIRIT OF FIRE (from the WA) Ok, I have been running this RP over and over in my mind since I started RPing here, and I think now might be a good time to start it. This RP takes place in Aman, during the years of the Trees, concerning, mostly, the house of Finwë.
I would like it to begin around the time of Finwë's remarriage to Indis, with Fëanor (played by me) still in his early youth. EDIT: I have decided to bring it forward in time to where Fëanor is about eighty, and Fingolfin is about forty. That way the people playing Indis' sons don't have to wait for years until they can come in.
I will need people to play the following, as well as additional characters you create. But remember: No Men, Dwarves, Half-elven or orcs, as this is in Aman, probably prior even to the awakening of men...Elves, Valar and Maiar are probably the only races that will be allowed. Of the elves, only Noldor, Vanyar and the Teleri of Olwë will be allowed (No Sindar or Avari).
TOLKIEN CHARACTERS NEEDED:
Finwë Anairë Earwen
And more characters of the house of Fingolfin, Finarfin, and the sons of Fëanor will be needed as the story progresses.
A knowledge of the Silmarillion is preferred, but feel free to join in anyway. Please, experienced RP'ers only!

Lug, yours are in. Edit: I want to keep this thread within one page's length. By deleting my past posts, this has happened so far. However, one of these days things will bubble over. Please, all, delete unneeded posts. Thanks.
The bit about deleting is not terribly important. I just want to keep this one page long. If a post of yours makes it go over that, then it is important for other people to delete earlier posts, not necessarily your latest one.

This group is for people who genuinely admire Hobbit society and culture, and who would like to either be a Hobbit or be friends with one. So, welcome to the Mushroom Grove Inn, pull up a pint, ("They come in pints?!!") let your feet breathe, and feel free to discuss all things Hobbity. All first time visitors get a pint on the house!
In short, this is a very, VERY loose RP. No character profiles are necessary, nor are requests to join. Just come in and post whenever and whatever you want! The crazier, the better!
Yes, go through the entire GD and by midnight my time tonight, I want them all here in alphabetical order with links. We will then decide what next to do. Thanks for volunteering.

Would somebody please volunteer to go and collect the links to all the RP threads and RP WA threads included within this description thread, and post them here, identified so I can use them, so that I can incorporate them into the initialpost. I think that would be a useful, added feature.

Hey Mandin... Here's the discription for my new RP... The Fate of the World This story is about a little girl in a country that has been at war for longer then anyone can remember. The king is a tyrant in matriarchal socity, and isnot doing a good job of ruling over his country. It is utter chaos. Just when things seem the darkest, a yung girl is exiled from (and nearly killed by) her village. she runs away into the forest, looking for a way to survive and control her uncontrollable magic powers. This is heavily edited, and if yo want more information, you should look in the AWA.

"He's at it again!" ~Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Yes indeed, I'm at it again. I added a new RP and I put in some links, and I did some editing of the initial paragraphs and list of RPs. I have also revivied the Help Wanted thread, so if you want to help, go there and I'll let you know what you can do.
Edit: Faramir, your thread has been added. Edit: Braeden, does your update still stand? Normally, I would look it up in your WA, but I didn't find it in my perusal of the GD, and now I must be running. I may get on later today.
