Linking to facebook is a little complicated...I'm still not sure how to do it. I found Bomby through his email, which is on his website. Me is crafty!

If you've always wanted to know what Q or MANDOS looks like...look me up. My name is Luke Spink. No, not Stink, or Splink...although I have splinked before, but I'm not going to admit it.

You have to be logged in to facebook for the link to work. Either that, or log in right after it takes you to the facebook login page.

Click on my web page link at the top of this post to find my RL name. It's a pretty common name, so that doesn't help much. [] But then try adding "Sidney" in the middle and you'll find me quickly.

Hmmm . . . well, just search for me by first-middle-last name. I'll try to figure out how to link to my facebook page directly, but not anytime soon. It's crunch week for holiday concerts and Spring musical auditions.

The nudity doesn't offend me, but even so, why would someone wanna post such a picture in the first place?.. and who really wants to see it?

Why not post such a picture? I don't go out of my way to see a woman breastfeeding an infant, but when I do see it, I find it one of the most beautiful sights in creation. [] There's something so wonderfully human about it, so wonderfully . . . wholesome and cool.

Eh, personal taste I guess.. I just don't see the point. it wouldn't bother me to see it happen live in a restaurant or something, because i understand the need.. the kid's hungry. But I wouldn't have any compulsion to revisit the event any more than I'd care to detail my last visit to the urinal. To me it's just a normal function, not a singular event worthy of celebration.

I agree with bombi- it is one of the most beautiful sights in creation. At the same time... it's kind of a silly picture for her to post. It's not a candid picture, it's posed... and she could have posed it much better. Bad judgement on her part perhaps.

Facebook makes it worse however, in my opinion, when they say the picture violated their ban on obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit pictures. I would understand if they said it broke their nudity rule... but nothing about breastfeeding is obscene, pornographic or sexual in nature.

When did we start getting so easily impressed? Children have been suckling at mom's teat since the dawn of man. Dogs do it, pigs do it, it's not unique in any way. We seem to celebrate everything these days, from the truly noteworthy to the thoroughly mundane. I guess that explains all the soccer trophys my kids have that simply read "participant" []

America is crazy. You forbid animated movies to children under 18 because women in Africa are drawn topless in it, and yet there is sexuality everywhere, the sex-shops are obvious and their doors are open... It doesn't make any sense []

There is definitely a marked difference between a sexual image portraying a breast and a mother breast-feeding. It seems to me that this is just another instance in which a society needs to re-define lines and boundaries. It's something we are also working on with gay marriage.

On another note, even if I was fine with people seeing my breasts online because I had breast feeding pictures (this is assuming I had a baby [] ) I doubt I would want them posted. I have already had 2 jobs I interviewed for where part of the employer's history check involved finding me on facebook. Breasts may not be anything to be embarrassed about, but it's not something I would readily share with my boss.

Agreed [] Whether breastfeeding is the type of thing you want to view or not, there certainly isn't anything obscene about it. As for the actual picture in question, there isn't even any nudity.. it's little more than cleavage. Not worth Facebook fussing about really.
