Rear Window is my favorite Hitchcock film-I like it better than Vertigo or Psycho. I've seen the film several times, and I still get uptight when Jeff (Jimmy Stewart) sends Lisa (Grace Kelly) over to the apartment. "No! Don't do it!" []

Grace Kelly, like Audrey Hepburn, was one of those actresses who was so beautiful that she did everything "prettily". Even things that make normal people look hideous, like brushing teeth or eating spaghetti. []

Lisa: I wish I were creative.

Jeff: You are. You're great at creating difficult situations.

I like Thelma Todd in that movie also. The only way they'd get that [wedding] ring away from me is if they cut off . . . my . . . finger . . . []

I bought North by Northwest last week (just the DVD, that is, not the copyright). I hadn't seen it in years and had forgotten (or else never realised) just how brilliant it is. One magnificent scene after another. Early in the film Cary Grant does one of the best and funniest performances of drunkenness I've seen. And Bernard Herrmann is on top form throughout. Psycho is my favourite Hitchcock film, though.

North by Northwest is brilliant, and there's so much innuendo between Roger and Eve that got past the censors. []

I also liked Spellbound - great movie for paranoid amateur psychologists. []

And then of course there's the eternally bubbly (even when her son is kidnapped) Doris Day in:

I'm about to head back downstairs and watch the rest of Six Degrees of Separation. I love that movie.. it's such a cool concept. I don't think I've ever seen it all the way through though. I always catch it on the Lifetime channel either halfway through or right before I have to go somewhere.

Josie and the Pussycats is such a funny movie, I especially love the bit about the boy band Landing in the carpark of a Metallica concert and lucky for them they knew the words to Enter Sandman.

Haha! Josie and the Pussycats! Brilliance, best song ever: "Backdoor Lover"

Bought Interview with a Vampire and Lost Boys on dvd, watched them last night, amazing films!

Also watched Gothika the other night. It's quite good, the beginning is a bit boring, but I suppose it's got to build up the suspence.

My dad bought me Reservoir Dogs on dvd as an early birthday preasant, fantastic film. "Stuck in the Middle" is never going to sound the same!
